The United Nations designated Friday, April 21 as World Creativity & Innovation Day to raise awareness of the role of creativity and innovation in all aspects human development.
On #WCID, the world is invited to embrace the idea that innovation is essential for harnessing the economic potential of nations. Innovation, creativity, and mass entrepreneurship can provide new momentum for economic growth and job creation. It can expand opportunities for everyone, including women and youth.
Try some of these suggestions on how you can participate with World Creativity and Innovation Day:
- Be curious.
- Stop for a moment and think about everything you do and how it could be improved.
- Partner with others who have different perspectives from our own.
- Recognize a colleague when they have a good idea.
- Think about a recent idea, what was the outcome? Who or what championed or blocked the idea from reaching its potential?
