Radiology professionals prepare, perform and assess radiologic tests and procedures. Radiographers, also referred to as radiologic technologists or medical imaging technologists, are healthcare professionals who perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
They are responsible for the accurate positioning of patients while imaging is conducted, in order to produce quality diagnostic images. Radiologic technologists work closely with radiologists—the physician specialists who analyze medical images to either identify or rule out injury or disease.

To assist the radiologic technologist in the performance of procedures on patients by maintaining ample supplies and processing images for viewing by staff and physician.
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Associate’s Degree Preferred.
Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.
Required: Enrolled in an approved/accredited Radiology Program.

Required: Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry. Proof of ARRT (by primary source) must be available within 60 calendar days of graduation. Must also possess State License if required by state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.
Required: 6 months experience in an acute care setting or comparable specialty area as required to meet all Lead competencies at the end of orientation period. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(R) with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
Demonstrates accountability for radiology by effective management of personnel and financial resources to achieve quality patient outcomes for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and the goals of the institution. Under the general direction of the Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for daily operations in assigned area 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.
Required: Skill and proficiency in the concepts, principles and techniques of the field of radiology as acquired by meeting the requirements to be eligible to become registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)), or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS), or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Technical supervising and management skills acquired through three (3) years progressive clinical or supervisory experience in Radiology. Knowledge of radiation therapy equipment normally acquired through three (3) years experience in a high volume radiology.
Registration by the American registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), ARDMS, or NMTCB.
Required: Technical supervision and management skills acquired through 5 – 7 years of progressive clinical or supervisory experience in Radiology. Knowledge of radiation therapy equipment in a high volume radiology work setting. Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), ARDMS or NMTCB.
