Nurses are healthcare specialists who work day and night to provide direct care to patients. Job duties and opportunities vary, depending on the type of nurse you are. Some nurses manage patient care; others help with treatment. Nurses’ education helps define their roles and duties – as well as pay.
At Baptist, there are five main types of nurses that work in mostly all clinical areas: Licensed Practice Nurse, Registered Nurse, Nurse Educator, Nurse Practitioner (NP), and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
For more information on nursing roles, see “Careers in This Field“. NP and CRNA are located in the Physician/Advanced Practice Clinician Career Area.
