Clinical Nurse Specialist
Clinical nurse specialists are leaders in healthcare. They are trained in advanced physiology, pharmacology, and physical assessment in a specialized area of nursing practice. They provide diagnosis and treatment of acute or chronic illness in an identified population of patients with emphasis on specialist care for at-risk patients and/or populations.
Education Requirements:
- Current RN
- Master’s Degree with emphasis in clinical nursing
Certification, Registration, and/or Licensure Requirements:
- RN Licensue
- Certification examination for area of speciality
