June 2025 Newsletter

Career Development Tip: What is Networking and Do You Need It?

Networking can accelerate your career advancement by helping you build a strong reputation, increasing visibility and opening doors to new opportunities.

Don’t just go to work and do your job. Get to know others outside of your immediate team. Volunteer and participate in community events, exchange ideas and join industry association or clubs.

Networking can include everything from an informal chat at lunch to attending an industry event. Engaging in these actionable steps helps build relationships and professional connections, facilitate access to new job opportunities and expose you to valuable information that can propel your career forward.

June’s Monthly Skill Build Workshop

Topic: Building Up Your Emotional Intelligence

By its very nature, the workplace sometimes involves conflict and stress. By building up your emotional intelligence, you can identify, understand and manage your own feelings and the emotions of others.

Join us for this Skill Build Workshop as we discuss best practices and strategies to become aware of your emotions and use that awareness to manage your behavior. We will also share how you can interpret other people’s emotions and use that knowledge to enhance workplace relationships.
