Creating Professional Development Goals
Understanding the importance of goals and the techniques involved in setting achievable goals paves the way for success. Your goals give you the direction and motivation to achieve happiness and fulfilment in your life.
Whether you’re setting personal goals or professional goals, the following tips can help you start thinking about how to achieve them:
- Review your most recent performance evaluation and use the feedback given as a starting point for your goals.
- Create a strategy to reach each goal by breaking your goals into smaller tasks.
- Schedule time to reach your goal — start with 1–2 hours each month.
