Career Tip of the Month: Focus on Creative Thinking

Creative thinking refers to generating unique and innovative ideas, solutions, and strategies that can help organizations achieve their goals and objectives. It also can:

  • Break away from traditional and conventional ways of thinking
  • Explore new and unconventional approaches to problem-solving, decision-making, and product development
  • Create new opportunities for growth and success

To get you started, here are some questions to get you thinking about this topic:

  1. What are some examples of creative thinking that you have used, and how did they help you solve problems or generate new ideas?
  2. How can you develop your creative thinking skills further, and what resources or tools can help you do so?
  3. What are some barriers to creative thinking, and how can you overcome them?

Assess your current creative thinking level using one of our Skill Benchmark assessments or jump right into learning with the featured assets we have handpicked for this topic within the Innovation and Creativity content in Percipio (if you do not already have access to Percipio, please reach out to cfcd@bmhcc.org to request access):
